Children's Wigwam, Hackney City Farm

I thought that using brushwood screening to make a children's shelter a great idea to try one day at home.

Unfortunately, they missed this visit, Janette. I 'phoned them to come and meet me here, but they were too busy in a swimming pool!

You will just have to build them one of their own ,looks like this could be a fun place for children

I think that this is a great idea for children. It's using natural materials too.
I used to live in London and had two places in the garden for a hideaway. One under next doors pear tree that grew over our side of the garden rather low, and under the roses next to the coal shed, but this is fab.

That's a good plus point, Linda, thanx for pointing this out. Janette, I'm keeping this idea in mind for future trial.

My oldest grand-daughter Abigail who is aged 7 and me built something similar out of the leylandi hedge trimmings a little while ago but she tells me that next year we must make a bigger one !
