Wow! OMG!! Did a lot of the snow milt in the heat?

Hi Andy! heat? no... it's been just above zero C. warmest we've had is 15 degrees and then only for one afternoon. The deluge was caused by rain. It's been storming and raining for the last two days. Had to put the car at the end of the driveway just beyond the culvert in case it was washed out like the last one. beginning to appreciate the downside of having water on your property. Lake folk are watching their docks being set up on the lawns...if they're lucky...otherwise they may be at the other end of the lake! It's amazing how powerful and damaging too much water can be.

Sounds so crazy! I know too much water can cause a tremendous amount of damage, especially when it all comes at one time. I hope you can dry out soon! Stay safe.

How awful for you all, Lori. I hope things improve soon. It’s obviously a real stress on you all. People work hard to keep their property safe, then the weather/nature just turns everything around in a short space of time.
Take care, best wishes.

It's amazing how fast everything can change... the last two days have been 15 degrees C and with a bit of sunshine. The rain took the most of the snow and now it's only in the drifted spots. I've been raking like a fiend trying to cover the whole 3 acres of field/lawn and my arms are like spaghetti! Good news is my tulips that I managed to get in the ground last autumn are emerging... no sign of the daphs yet...but it's such a boost to finally see fresh growth. Today's rain should bring the green back... I can't wait. tree buds are still looking puny... even with the 15 degree days the nights have been frosty. we just can't seem to get a break! another stressor that the trees do not need. Everything has been severe... too much cold, too much snow...extremely high winds...not enough sun or arctic sun... I'm hoping for a bit of a normal summer... what's my chances? lol...
