We’ve cracked the pruning regime!

First of all we had one that hardly flowered and when it did, it was when it had leaves, BonkersBon said to buy one in flower so we did, the pruning seemed daunting but it’s not really is it :)

Its spectacular Dawn! Do you have to be quite severe with the pruning? And do you prune it twice a year?

Yes Siris, it covers quite a long area.
Karen, yes we prune twice a year, Aug and Feb, we have a main trunk which branches left and right, off that are the side shoots that flower, Aug it has a trim as it grows so fast once in leaf then in Feb the side shoots are trimmed to about 4 inches,

I had a look at mine, and there are leaves, and one big fat flower bud! Hurray! So this year I will endeavour to prune it well.

Aww Amy, I remember yours at The Hollies.
One bud is better than none Karen. A prune will do it good.
