beautiful, both of them... I've moved some of my irises around but I'm pretty sure that, along with some of my siberians... i've lost "Immortality" to rodents. I'm a month behind. My tulips are just starting!

Goodness Lori, it been beautiful weather in the southern Uk this last week. I've some Sibericas popped up amongst the Beardeds, must be self seeded. My Immortality, being a remontant, has decided not to flower this year, probably exhausted itself last year.

hmmm... I wonder. things are pretty slow but things usually warm up here, after the 24th of May. Victoria Day Holiday marks the beginning of our season... things are planted, thinned and ready'd for summer on this day..so I'm out doing it... bugs are here. Have to keep Rufus and Ryot indoors as they can't be out for too long. poor Ryot was bitten very badly. Can't have that!

This is why I like growing from seed. You never know for sure what you will get with many species. I used to allow I.foetida to self seed and eneded up with some gems and just executed the rubbish ones. Salvia are also rather promiscuous.

I look up the Beardeds' parentage in the American data base so have an inkling of what to expect, but yes the anticipation!
