Its Wabbit Season,no its Mango season.

Its Wabbit Season,no its Mango season. (Mangifera indica (Mango))

These are very marginal hardiness trees here. They never reach the epic sizes they do in the tropics. But,its really nice to see them..and pick a couple dozen fruits a year of various sizes.
This tree is about 10' tall.

Wow Stan, this is a fab picture! Lucky you! I love mango, fresh or dried. Looks a lovely specimen all round! Liking the leaf colouring too

Keeping them in flush makes for a good looking little tree Kate.
Unusually cool and wet May here. I'm pleased the Mangoes persevere.

As plants age Penny..the hardy factor goes up. At 9 years old and now 6 in the ground I doubt very much it would be flushing in this cool weather when i first bought as a 3' stick,or less. Actually in 2012 when I still had it in a pot a freeze killed it within 6" of the soil line. I had to really baby it for a few years after that.
Now here it is in 55f (13C) rains (today) and just blooming up a storm.
