My pink Epiphyllum was blooming the last few days. It's flowering late this year because of the cool and rainy weather. Photo taken May 17, 2019.

Such wonderful flowers on such a plain looking plant...they are glorious aren't they?

I know, right?
I keep these Epiphyllums under the Alexander palm now. It appears they like it better than on the table in full sun. On the table they would burn and look ugly.

Mine is a really zingy red and if the plant gets full sun it turns reddish also... I put some pieces which fell off the mother plant in the tub in which I planted the Euphorbia and ponytail palm, to my surprise it seems at home... it's been in a bright cool room all winter and it's looking better than the mother plant...I moved it outdoors today and I'm hoping for some flowers! the Euphorbia is almost at the ceiling... it's been in the large pot 3 yrs. now..should I be repotting it? I've never been good with cacti and I'm totally surprised that it continues to survive.

Which Euphorbia species do you have? Most succulent species of Euphorbia can be kept in a very small pot. My Euphorbia trigona 'Rubra' has been in a gallon pot for almost 19 years. It's to the ceiling in my formal dining room. It needs to be moved outdoors permanently this year. It's too tall!

I'm pretty sure it's a trigona, D1. but I don't know the var. you're not kidding about it tolerating cramped quarters either. When they were given to me they were in an 8" plastic azalea pot and about 3 ft. tall! When I planted them in the big pot(5 gallon) it seemed lost so I added the ponytail palm and later, the epi. Everyone seems snug and happy but I think the euphorbia got some kind of fungus from being out in the cold rain... it has brown areas and not as much new growth as in previous years. Actually it's two plants who started out very close together and almost look like one plant. They have shot up to almost 8 ft. and filled out nicely...but with the brown spots I'm wondering if I shouldn't move it into it's own pot.
If you move your outdoors will it become tree size?
