What an unusual one . . . lovely!

I like this one Sheila as it has deep pink flowers, I have another black one with pale pink flowers and it's not as striking

Does it get very big Dawn?

Probably my favourite Sambucus. I love the dark purple leaves and the flowers are just lovely. I still have one in the garden, but it is just a baby.

Sheila, yes it's a big one, they prune well if you can be bothered to keep them in check.

As soon as it gets big, I’m going to take cuttings. Don’t want to be without this one!
