I bought this last year but it's been in a pot all winter. Now that the fir trees have gone I have been able to plant it in the ground.

yeh, they love lots of sun, the more the better. Last autumn I cut mine down to the ground when it finished blooming and threw the cuttings on the ground. Well now a few of those cuttings sprouted into new plants...saved me a trip to the garden center!

I bought it in Tesco Thrupennybit last year and it was labelled 'Garden Perennial' lol but now that it has flowered I can see it's a Veronica

I have a blue one also, it's very old, came from an elderly lady living near my parents many years ago.

That was kind of her to give you one Hywel it's nice to keep old plants I ve still got my mums maidenhhair fern Iris and red Peonys.
