Sambucus Black Beauty

We have this one and it hated the dry weather last year so I am pleased to see that it seems to be alright again.

I'm pleased it's bounced back, I don't remember mine suffering.
It's be so cold today and quite alot of rain which is good.

My Sambucus 'Black Lace' has some leaves that look 'frizzy' if you know what I mean! Never had this happen before so am putting it down to the dry weather. It has many healthy leaves but I am concerned it may not thrive ... :o(

Oh dear Shirley, sounds like that's what it could be.

Dawn, I went out to look at it just now and was alarmed to find that some of the dried leaves just came away in clumps in my hand! I think I shall leave the garden hose running slowly around it tomorrow as no rain is forecast for days ... :o(
