I thought that too at first. I didn't think roses could survive in the wild, because they struggle a lot in my garden. hmmmj!

Yes they do survive in the wild my son never touches his and they come back better than mine. I have Ballerina Paul it's also growing in a little town where I shop they are left to their own devices up there and flower every year.
