the wild roadside sweet peas... I put them in a corner and they're loving it... they come up and bloom after the violets.

I honestly have never tried them, BG. somehow I don't think so. may have to check them out.
Bjs: Thanks! I think they're special. they chose to grow in my driveway and I moved them to a more commodious spot. I sometimes drone on about nature this and nature that...but it's just a source of enjoyment for me to see something thriving that I helped along.

they offer such affirmation, Amy! all this because I lifted a little struggling plant and gave it a better home. It's perhaps a little too grateful because it's taken over the corner where the rose used to be... (rose got moved last year and was thought dead.. aha! I have three buds!) I'm learning the wildflowers in this part of the province. So many, and some garden escapees... I have Thalictrum in two colours!.. Joe Pye, and Cow Parsley growing tall and imposing. ...and I have bluebells!
