I think so Amy. They are related to crickets. They are very fragile and timid creatures. Folklore says they bring good luck when they visit you and to expect positive changes - significant changes! So we shall see!

This is a pretty looking insect/creature. I do like the exotic looking colourful ones. One of my favourites is the shield beetle.

I just checked out the Rainbow Sheild Beetle on Google. Amazing how bright & colorful they are. Almost like a child's toy.

Thank you so much Amy. I hope the Katydid makes good on its reputation. I have a few praying mantis pics. Should I post a couple for you?

LOL nothing to fear. Occasionally they'll wander into my house and I'll do the same thing - other things as well yikes!

Oddly after taking about shield beetles, I found one on a bathroom towel last night on the way to bed! Lovely. I tried to pop it outside on a window ledge, but, it wasn’t keen to move off my hand! Maybe it was the warmth of my skin? It wasn’t cold outside, but obviously was happy where it was. However, it did with some coaxing, go.

He must have been very comfortable on your towel: not something he sees very often.
