Growing on the east facing fence, to which the stems sucker. I grew from seed a few years ago.

Have been trying to get rid of one for the last 5 years!! far too vigorous, and not enough flowers to warrant keeping it!!

I know you said you are trying to eradicate yours. I have a 2nd piece I tried to remove but it's popped up again.
