Well done Amy. Enjoy ! You can't beat home grown.
We came by some tomato plants quite by accident ....... The seeds were either in some compost or some labelia we bought for hanging baskets. We have about 20 tomatoes, but still very green. They are outdoors so may have to ripen off indoors, with a couple of purchased tomatoes.

Oh these are the ones you sent last year. They did very well and it kept producing through November, long after the others gave up the ghost.

They do take their time, don't they? But they are still delicious even with a little green on the shoulders - that's normal. I had to place bricks underneath for support, otherwise the plants would have collapsed - they were so loaded down. I brought a load of them over to my neighbor - she made amazing salsa and gave me a jar - the kind you can't find at the stores. I love them cut in half then fried up with bacon & eggs for breakfast.

How lovely for you Amy ... I have tried so many different varieties from the shops but nothing compares to the taste of home grown.
