Quilting

now that is a photo I really like, do you know if she has used all the same weight of fabric ie cotton or are they different weights.

I am also in the middle of a work I progress just blue and white stars.

Its Lovely ,I've been working on one for more years than I care to remember all cut out hexagon shapes pinned onto paper and everyone stitched by hand.. I'm not sure that I will ever finish it the stitches are so tiny and my eyes aren't as good as they were ,its packed away since we moved ..

Eileen: I know next to nothing about quilting so I'll have to ask her. It sounds like very tedious work. I keep mentioning the ones I've seen at the Cloisters Museum called 'Unicorns' worth millions of dollars. They call them tapestries You can google it to see.

Amy: I wouldn't know where to even begin. I don't think it's my calling, lol. Would love to see each of yours though.

I love tapestries too, they are usually woollen threads sewn over a canvass. patchwork quilts are small patches of fabric sewn together to form bigger pieces of fabric.

Fascinating how detailed they are. Looking forward to seeing yours.

Lovely quilting Paul. I had a go when my son was little and when he slept, I quilted or crocheted.

That is so lovely Paul, I bet you treasure it.
the one regret I have is that the things my mum made for me when I was little were not kept when I grew up. She sent them to the local Dr Barnado's childrens home. When I came home after my first term at uni all my toys had gone too, all but my pink teddy that had gone to uni with me.

My sister stole most of my things... :)
