We bought this rhododendron 3 weeks ago. The landscaper who laid the lawn, brought along with a Cryptomeria Japonica Elegans. This is the first flowering in our garden.

Wylie, We dedicate a whole flowerbed, approximately 12 square meters, and with an elevation to plant this pine. As soon as the rain stops, I will photograph the backyard with the vegetable and herb beds, and also the front yard. We want it full at the bottom as well.

Cryptomeria - the Azorian Christmas tree. At least it used to be before fake ones became fashionable. The regular one is every where and makes a very good wind break. I got 2 of the Cryptomeria japonica 'Sekkan Sugi', the one with yellow tips. I am afraid to plant them in a position where they can be seen in my woods because I know someone will think it would look good in their house as a Christmas tree. They need a huge amount of space as they will elongate if there is any competition at the base. The ones in my woods are very tall with no branches the first 10 meters. The one by my barracão is full at the bottom because there isn't anything near it.
