A double Oxalis that look like a little rose.

It was only £6 for 3 bulbs. I got it on eBay.co.uk from someone in Greece. I also got Oxalis purpurea 'Garnet' which has bronze leaves and pink flowers.

I looked up this plant on Wikipedia & while I was at it I looked up the one I have: "Oxalis tetraphylla (often still traded under its syn. O. deppei) is a bulbous plant from Mexico. A common name is "Iron Cross", after a famous cultivar;[citation needed] it is also known as "lucky clover", and in a wild or feral state as four-leaf sorrel or, least ambiguously, four-leaved pink-sorrel."
I only knew it as O. deppei "Iron Cross" so thanks to you I have now found out it's actually called O. tetraphylla!

If you look it up on the Pacific Bulb Society website (go to Photographs and Information for the index) it talks about the 3 varieties of O. teraphylla, including the Reverse Iron Cross.

Thanks, Wylie. I went along & found dozens of Oxalis that I never knew even existed!

This is a great looking flower, Wylie! I looked it up on the web & found the bulbs are very expensive otherwise I would love to grow it on our balcony! I do have an Oxalis though, O.deppei 'Iron Cross' which I love more for its leaves than its flowers!
