Close up of some of the leaves, love the fact Acer’s have interest in all seasons. Maybe not so much in winter 😊

I agree.

It is very pretty but I think trees look just as interesting in the winter . You can see the structure of the trunk and branches silhouetted against the sky, and when it rains the droplets of water glisten along the all little twigs :)

Thanks Hywel, I have to agree. Branches and trunks are quite architectural in the winter months. :)

Yes, I agree too. I enjoy seeing the structure of all the trees when the leaves are down. But having said that...these leaves are absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks, Janey! It’s my OH who tends to have the magic touch with them!

I have to agree, Julia! They look spectacular all year round usually. I have all mine in the ground now, 2 in the front and 5 in the back. Saying that, I may find space for a potted one - they look so elegant potted up.
Was your acer ok then, once you’d detached it from the pot?

Fingers crossed for your Acer, Julia. Our soil is actually pretty neutral. I’ve always said we are really lucky with Acers. OH tends to them usually - magic touch?! :)
