Moved some plants, painted arbor and cement pads..set up the 60 gallon aquarium with Goldfish last year..but really looks good now. Out of view are some small ornate iron table for two,and iron chairs. I also put up a small fountain to hear water trickle.
Spanish moss hangs down,Encephalartos ferox is the Cycad, cane begonia in white flowers, and Huperzia squarrosa is the green hanging plant with spruce tree like branches.

Looks really nice! I took a different approach to water trickling - I got one of those drinking fountains for cats.

Thank you. It was nice when I finished to sit out there in October when it was still warm and evenings warm. My wife would do that more than me. Make her calls to friends, feet up on the other chair.
Its a very small yard..that photo is about half the total!..the right half being open ground and where the Podocarpus tree's tree ferns and Howea palms are.
I'm thinking of making a small fish pond...just waiting to see how the winter rains are. If we have no drought..pond. If we do,or low amount of rains? Some other year. Life in California.

Your hard work has achieved a great looking area, Stan. Love all your exotics! The white flowering begonia is a beauty. Fish tank lovely to look at while relaxing I bet! We’ve a small fish pond near to the house in the back garden, it’s always an area to chill.
You can’t beat the sound of water from a pond, water feature etc. to add to the ambiance!
