Great plants. I've got a few different species and I always forget to water them, but they thrive.

They are very forgiving. I definitely would like a couple more. Thanks

Karen: They are very rewarding plants, but very prone to root rot so the must dry out completely between waterings.

Amy - My kind of plant. They are very patient and forgiving and will wait for you if you go on holiday. Also very striking. They grab your attention in a subtle way. Love the variegation.

It's an excellent, easy plant to grow. It grows so well here in San Diego outside in the semi-shade. It's a makes good groundcover.

That's interesting, maybe I'll try moving mine outside in the Spring.

It'll probably grow very well outside in spring through early fall, there.

Thanks for the tip. I just need to find the right place for it - probably the north side of the house. Can they take any sun at all? Now it just gets filtered sun.

Only when acclimate they can tolerate some full eastern or northern sun. The variegated sections of the leaves can burn in full, hot sun. The green form is much more sun-tolerant.

Ok I better not chance it then.

Yes, it's a good groundcover under trees.
