I don't have Forsythia. I don't know why, but I have never liked it. But seeing your buds there....well....just joyous.

Yeah they're messy and take some room but sure pack a punch, I quite like shrubs that are wow for a couple of weeks, especially if they follow on from each other.

Ah...that's the voice of a woman with more than an acre! ;)

Forsythia 'Gold Tide' is much smaller, no more than three feet tall and wide after 20 years

I have some forsythia on the hill, Dawn. I can see some little buds showing, but, this is lovely to see the colour emerging.

A good photo Dawn , I have a hedge of Forsythia separating our garage from the side garden , I'm not sure if I like it but its making a good screen and wind break ..

I had this same bush for ages 'Lynwood'. Always look forward to the big spring show! You call it messy. I call it gracefully arching boughs of spring wow!

You'll have a colour blast soon Amy.
Bathgate, my boughs aren't arching haha more reach for the sky but yes, it looks amazing in flower.

Have never grown it .......find it a tad difficult to place in the garden...

I really like forsythia when the buds burst into flower - another lovely sign of Spring.
