π Your welcome Sheila I bought one yesterday at a car boot Almenlanchier canadensis the lady said it can be made into a small tree.

That's good Thrupenny . . . this one was bought as a tree, but I also have a bush-size one (but don't know its second name).

Yes they are a shrub she told me I had nt heard of one before so asked her about it. When returning I looked it up and you can get different varieties Juneberry . Graniflora Robin which is pink . Lamarckii Snowy. Let hope you have one of these so you hsve two varieties. I bought mine as she said it gives a lovely colour foliage come autumn so to me that's two different shows in one year. π

These are so beautiful in Spring aren't they...I love them. My fruiting varieties are not so tree-like at the moment, but they are very young and at least they are growing! Seeing the photos form the southern counties tonight is making me feel really excited about the coming season. Its freezing cold up here of course, but I have plenty of tete-a-tetes to cheer me. And there's so much to come. I love seeing how everything has grown since last year. :)
