Evergreen shrub with leathery leaves that turn red in Winter. Yellow flowers followed by blue berries. A Pyracantha with yellow berries behind.

Thanks 3pb, Both those two shrubs are evergreen, so a bit of colour brightens them up.

It certainly does nice to have evergreen no leaf drop and some colour through winter.

3pb, the leaves do drop, not all together though, and the Mahonia leaves are sharp like Holly leaves.

I use a 'wolf' tool to get out the leaves from under the bushes, the type with the interchangeable attachments, then leather gloves to gather them into the compost bin.

I dont blame you Siris using leather gloves and tools I had mine dig out as my grand kids or daughter could nt cope with it.

I can no longer do it so if its makes it easier for those that help it's worth it has gone as I get blind weed and seeds from the Sycamore all around it so it makes it easier for them to weed as best they can.
