Karen they are hand pollinated they don't seem to set seed often without help ,my location probably does not help they each get only several hours of sun a day they then close there flowers tight until the following day two problems the trees limit the hours of sunlight and the number of bees I see on them is very small at this time of year.
In other words if i want seed I have to be a busy Bee.
And of course there is a 12 month wait for seed to germinate.and a further 5 years to flower
