Strange leaf colour

This Clematis produced a bi-colour leaf this week. The Clematis may be 'Polish Spirit' if my memory is correct!

Its actually quite pretty ,can you imagine it if all the leaves / Sepals were that colour .......

I had Polish Spirit in my previous garden Shirley ,if I remember rightly I think it was purple ,we'll look forward to seeing it in flower ..

Yes, I've seen this too Shirley. Can't remember if it was on this variety though. The 'petals' on the flowers of clematis are actually Sepals and I think this is that....but it's like a deformed one. I don't think it's anything to worry about though. :)
