Chilean potato vine spreading and flowering nicely

Pruned the solanum crispum back late last year and it’s thickened up nicely this spring. Always produces an abundance of pretty flowers with longevity for months.

Agnet if you have the white one I suggest you pick a sheltered position as mine did nt survive the heavy frosts.

Hi Anget, thank you, it’s a vine that needs support and assistance to grow along the pergola. It doesn’t have any suckers or the like, it has to be manipulated by us to grow like this. I did see one in someone’s garden many years ago, the same colour/variety. They had grown it into a small tree like plant. Did look very nice.

Is it free standing or climbing? I have a white one ready to plant out but not sure where to put it for the best - not much trellis or wall space left..
