Fuchsia

I posted a photo of the seeds of this fuchsia in January this year. Among the comments Balcony wrote that he prunes the fuchsias as soon as flowering ends. I was in doubt for a while, then I did a cautious pruning, removing only the dry branches. Some time later I pruned again, still with fear, I removed only unproductive branches. And finally, a month and a half ago I did a drastic pruning and used the pruned branches to try to take root. The fuchsia has sprouted all over, it is full of new, very green leaves and this branch, left a little longer, is giving these very vigorous flowers.

Thank you David, please don't forget to post pictures, and also after the flowering the pruned plant.

Congratulations, Aleyna! It's a lovely Fuchsia flower! In a way you did well with the cautious approach but you can cut Fuchsias back really hard & they will still respond with a great deal of growth & 100s of lovely flowers!
I have a couple on our balcony that will be opening their first flowers of the year in a week or so. I have a climbing one I training up the wall beside the door out onto the balcony & it has lots & lots of buds at all stages some about to open soon.
