That's a proper Character Cottage isn't it. You don't see them like this in Scotland. We don't have these gorgeous Georgian bricks here. Everything is stone or render up here, and I must admit, I miss the architecture of Lincs. Thank you for sharing...makes me 'homesick' :)

Aw Karen, I I do what you mean having lived my youth in Scotland..apart from maybe Edinburgh, it’s hard to find buildings with character.
I did think about you recently when I was in Gainsborough..

Thank you Kate. I always hated the town, and I'm still not keen. But the villages around about are absolutely lovely. Have you been in Morton at all? That is where I think of as home...even though I only lived there for about 4 years as a child. But it is a nice village and the church is fantastic. They have amazing Pre-Raphaelite stained glass. We used to have our sports day in the field beside the church...it was idyllic really. :)

I know what you mean, Karen..it’s not the same place. Yes,I usually cut through Morton to get into Gainsborough or to head out towards Laughton. You are right though, the villages are really picturesque around there. The church is definitely a fantastic building with such interest.
