THANKS PAUL, THE POPPIES AND CORNFLOWERS SEEDED THEMSELVES FROM LAST YEAR. WHEN THE FLOWERS WERE DYING OFF I SNIPPED THEM OFF AND LET THEM REST ON THE SOIL. THE POPPY SEEDS I CUT OFF LAST YEARS HEADS, DRIED THEM OFF, LET THE SEEDS FALL IN A TRAY AND SPRIKLED THEM OVER THE FLOWERBED.

THANKS PAUL...JUST LUCK PROBABLY. IT CERTAINLY IS COLOURFUL PAUL.
I HAVE BEEN GETTING FEED FOR THE BIRDS VIA SHOPPING ON LINE. I LOVE TO SEE THE BIRDS EVERY DAY VISITING THE GARDEN. LOTS FEEDING THEIR BABIES AT THE MOMENT.

Me too Linda. In the summer I make sure they have a cool fresh water bath waiting for them under the maple tree. They pick all the bugs off my tomatoes & peppers. It's nice to look at them over the morning coffee.

I HAVE TO FILL THREE BIRDBATHS EVERY DAY PAUL. YOU ARE RIGHT WHEN YOU SAY ABOUT THE BUGS. I SAW A BLACKBIRD WITH A BEAKFUL OF SLUGS YESTERDAY. THEY GO IN AND OUT OF THE FLOWERBEDS AND EVEN SEEM TO GET BUGS FROM THE LAWN AREA.
THANKS THRUPENNYBIT.

Isn't that the best shade of blue? I love the cottage style garden.
