Just beginning to flower when I photographed it for my last blog, this gorgeous dahlia is so tall now and full of these lovely shaggy blooms.
I moved it in Spring to the spot where Bishop of Llandaff had been for a few years. Last year the Bishop wasn't too well, so I split the tubors and the three clumps I kept have romped away, three large healthy plants with plenty of flower buds coming..:o)

Hi Sandra, thank you, it really is! There's so much choice now with them isn't there, the singles are so pretty and the bees etc. really love them don't they..:)) shall expect some photos soon..haha.
This one was from seed I was given with no name I'm afraid. It was the prettiest of all that germinated a few years ago, but I moved it this spring, it's in a more sunny situation in this border and it loves it.. I do give it tomorite
once a week in its watering.
Yes, it does Dawn..:))

You know Ba, I gave quite a few of mine away, but this one, no, and it must be 4ft high now. A Bishop of Llandaff that Amy gave me a long time ago, I split as it wasn't doing so well. I've now some really strong plants soon be flowering..:))

I had the Bishop for a few years and then he vanished, I found a pot full of compost in my garden glory hole and noticed some green shoots, now realise it's a dahlia, looking forward to seeing what it is lol:-)
