Thank you for the nice comments. He has a nest in my maple tree, that's another reason, plus all the bugs and worms he could want and a cool water bath. I spoiled him. The male is very active in raising the nestlings

Unusual but attractive bird. Looks a bit like our blackbird with a red breast. You seem to have a lot of interesting, friendly visitors to your garden.
