the bees create quite a buzz when on their flowers... the flowers are so tiny for such a large plant.

Haha Kate. They're so unusual Lori and so tall!

I'm beginning to think it might be a cuckoo's egg, Kate and Janey! with the hot weather it's gone berserk and my fears that it was not hardy enough for our climate have been laid to rest. It's spreading as I'm finding seedlings outside the greenhouse and the one on the riverbank is going in all directions. Did I mention that it has a scent... kind of reminiscent of the lotion of a permanent wave. lol..

😁 I’ve got the familiar scent of perm lotion now in my head!!
That’s definitely different!
It sounds like it’s multiplying and trying to head of somewhere doesn’t it! I’d like to hear how this poppy plume and it’s little plumes progress!

Oh no, that's a smell I wouldn't want to sniff!

it's not as heavy or strong as the perm smell, Janey. It's very subtle but has that je ne sais qua?
I'm going to go out and get some better pics of the plumes and flowers, for you Kate.

I love mint (especially the true spearmint) so delicious. I can't resist snipping a top and popping it in my mouth. After Eight is intriguing though. like the after dinner mint of the same name? where does the choc. flavour come from?
