Yes! "icing on the cake"... I've planted small Patriots all along the stream...right down into the margins of the forest. I must check out their progress! I have a lot of space to "garden" in..lol. little vignettes all over the place! ;-)

Just had a look at the hosta parade and it seems that some of the wild stuff is still holding sway. Will have to take a look as I've been encouraging bracken in the area and it tends to tower over other stuff and shade them out. I need to keep it back from the verges so my iris, daylilies, hosta and pink monarda can establish for next year.
