It's not easy being green...

Praying Mantis - He looks menacing, but he doesn't bite or sting and won't damage plants. A big assist in the garden in eating aphids and all the bugs. I'm always thrilled to see them in my garden. They are very people friendly and will often ask to be held.

Fantastic pic, Paul. I’ve enjoyed seeing you post these fabulous creatures! It’s even better when they allow you to pick them up. I’m envious!

Janey, sometimes when they look at me, they'll reach out as a baby reaches out for his mama. lol! Your mantis swayed side to side? That means he likes you! They have excellent vision.
Thanks Kate, I'm so glad you enjoyed them. So many unusal creatures around here. This is one of my faves. So, are you a bug nerd like me?! :)

Your welcome Paul I am not to bad thank you Paul I hope all is well with you and your family. I was listening to Robert Kennedy junior speach on you tube from last week at a conference in Germany very sad days planned for us a doctor Vernon Coleman here is saying the same and much worse.

Really? How unsettling to hear that Dawn. I sense something is going on. I wonder what it could be. Thanks for the links. I'll look them over.

Ask to be held Paul? How do they do that? In my garden I used to have in Spain, we had bright green praying mantis.
I couldnt have held one though. They used to turn their heads to have a good look at you, while they were swaying from side to side...:))
