It was delicious with cornish ice cream.
I make my crumble with plain flour, butter and brown Demerara sugar. I cook the apples in the microwave with cranberry juice, strain off the juice, then put them into the dish with uncooked blackberries, cover with the crumble and cook for 30 - 35 mins in the oven..

Cranberry juice is inspired! I make mine with rolled oats and butter, sweetened to taste. You do need to pre cook the apples as the oats cook quickly.

Lovely Linda, and home grown too. I’d have Cornish ice cream too...or clotted..or pouring...

I never heard of 'Cornish Ice cream'. Time for a little research. My favorite ice cream - maple walnut one of my secret pleasures.

So many different ice-cream flavours to choose from now Paul. The Cornish ice-cream is creamier than the normal one. Maple and walnut go well together. We've had the one you like and Maple and walnut in a flan. I love walnuts and always keep a packet in the cupboard for adding to cakes, and I eat then just as they are too.

Sounds really good Linda. Can't go wrong with walnuts - they are fantastic in banana bread as well.

You're right Paul, I make a banana cake with walnuts in too. I sometimes mash a ripe banana in a ginger cake with walnuts too.
