Yes Janey. We get the little Hoverflies too. Insects are always difficult too photograph as they usually fly off when you get close with the camera.

Very detailed, Linda. You’ve got have patience with the flitting insects haven’t you! We’ve had lots of hoverflies this year. Lots of bees, not so many wasps luckily!

I remember you saying you were! I’ve just recalled one of your recent posts. Must’ve been amazing to watch them at work and producing all that glorious honey.

I loved it Kate. We took on Gerry's uncle's bees when we lived on the I.O.Wight and just the one hive, but when we moved to Derbyshire we bought them with us and increased to two hives after taking a couple of swarms that landed on our smallholding. I made wax candles and cooked with the honey.
