Is it hardy???

Yes it is hardy. When I bought it at Newby Hall in Yorks where it was bred there was some question about its hardiness. But I have had it growing outside for three years in a large tub and its fine.

I love salvias! My 'hot lips' one is in quite an exposed windy site but seems to thrive. I think their delicate looks belies their hardiness?

Hi Gwendas, I haven't grown many salvias but I would like more. There is a bright blue one I've seen but I don't know its name. Your 'hot lips' one is lovely. Where on earth did they get the name from?
