Waiting for the redwings...

This is a tatty crab apple inherited from the builders (ie. planted into rotten, rubble-ridden soil.) We have mulched and fed and it provides lots of fruit which the annual visiting redwings love to gobble up. Hope they return this winter as it is full of fruit waiting for them.

Fab! I’ll bet the redwings are just lovely to see, Ange. Lucky you!

Girls, I wanted to take it down as there is a tall acer right behind it (inherited), but OH disagreed. He was right (just this once...)

How lucky you are to get visiting Redwings, worth keeping your Crab Apple for that colourful fruit.
