Never heard it called Liquorice fern before! Agree with Kate I love ferns too, especially evergreen ones at this time of year.

We have lots of a related variety round here (Polypodium vulgare)They are a duller green than yours, especially in winter. Its nice that they re evergreen - so many ferns die back in winter. Have you noticed that they produce their spores in a different way from most ferns? (They produce one fertile frond in the middle, like a flower stalk?)It amazed me first time I saw it.
Just noticed you have a baby one growing up too!
