Ti plant. (Cordyline terminalis (Dracaena))

This Ti plant? It was down to its last few inches and death 4-5 years ago. When I had it in shade. I always thought they wanted shade!..turns out they want not all day sun..but hours at least of direct sun. I wish you had seen it was sticks..snails had eaten all the leaves also back then. From that its now 3' tall and bushy. Next year a bigger pot.

It was worth the effort. Great colour.

Definitely worthwhile Stan! I do love the pink tones in the pic of both plants.

I have some, the snails in winter can eat them up. LoL. I put lots of crushed eggshells below the plants to keep the snails out. When I lived up there ( in Fremont) I had a big beautiful pink variegated one which I was constantly battling the snails from eating it.

I think it was about the first year I found GOY that I turned it around with this plant. Out it went from the shade of the backyard to the brighter and hot reflecting asphalt of the side yard.
There was a time I had a terrific snail problem- those huge brown Med snails. The cure? Possums. They showed up...liked my extra catfood I left out and they really did a number of snails and slugs. Amazingly well done.I used to buy snail bait all the time- and its not cheap! I haven't bought any in the last few years and haven't seen a snail since. In fact,I've put things in the ground to test..and no,no slug or snails.

Wow! No snails or slugs. That’s great! They’re so active here during winter especially after rain.
