My garlic vine is flowering again. This is a cutting my friend gave me last year. Photo taken Dec. 2, 2020.

Bathgate,
I’ve read the leaves are used in place of garlic. It’s native to northern South America, it grows well outside here in San Diego.

I may keep it as a little standard or small shrub. I have no room for vines. Lol.
I’m surprised how many times my little cuttings have flowered over the last several months.

Interesting plant and a pretty one at that! Thanks for sharing the info, Andy. The flower colour is very attractive.

Thanks Kate! It appears to be very easy to grow considering it’s native to the deep tropics.
My friend’s plant is very large (he lives about 3 miles from me). It’s been in the ground for years.

Stan,
It’s not a rare vine here in California. It should grow well up there.

Kate,
It’s loving the spot on the wall! It’s still flowering.
