Camellia x 'Yume'

Camellia x 'Yume'

Close-up of flower. The plant was bought, as often, on impulse and was rather expensive but I am very pleased that I took the chance on it. Plenty of buds to come.

It’s a very pretty camellia, Ange. Sounds very promising if you’ve many buds on this one. Nothing wrong with treating yourself to something for the garden that’s so lovely - especially after this year.

I have another sasanqua, Klahanie. It's red and called 'Yuletide', the buds are colouring up but it won't be out in time for Christmas as it's in more shade than this. I'm glad you like this one.

Klahanie: if you can find a deer-free space, 'Yuletide' is a lovely one. I've had mine in a pot for 3 years and it hasn't outgrown the space.
You will enjoy the japonicas in the spring. We have 'Nuccio's Pearl' in a pot. It's a pretty pale pink. I shall have to find it a larger pot in the spring as in 4 years it has really grown.

This is its 3rd winter, Amy, and this is the first time it's flowered for Christmas. It was a lovely surprise to see it on the doorstep as we haven't ventured out very much!
