Is this from the fires Andy? I've never seen a sky this intense - looks like Mars.

Bathgate, it was just the clouds that caused this beautiful sunset. I think you don’t see the really intense sunsets because you’re on the East Coast. This is, of course looking towards the Pacific Ocean. I’m at a high enough elevation to see the Pacific Ocean from my house. It’s 7 miles away as the crow flies

To the left are the "flames" of Juniperus chinensis,aka Hollywood Juniper. Very popular here in California.
