Me too. What is that leafy groundcover around the tree? Its and ideal environment for lady bugs.

There is all sorts under there. Lamium galeobdolon [yellow archangel], Lamium 'PInk Pewter', leaves of Geranium phaeum, winter aconites, hellebores, Scrophularia altissima and many other plants such as ferns etc.
I always hope to have something of interest either in leaf or flower under there.
