I did say this year there would be no more projects.....this is just a mini one,so really doesn't count. We have been wanting to higher one end of the pool and make it more natural. Golden gravel ,stones and cobbles were added to the surround. I moved the ornate bird bath over to the side and replaced it with a large,Heritage bowl containing succulents etc.Quite pleased with the result....to round it off we were visited by a common newt!
In the Autumn I will plant some Spring bulbs and Anemone blanda around the base of the bird bath .

nicely re-structured and sympathetically done with the rest of the surroundings.

It’s looking a very attractive corner, Julia. I love the ‘shore’ styling at the edge of the pool too..plus all the perimeter planting. It all looks perfect in place.
Your autumnal planting will look very pretty when they bloom next year.

That's a lovely pool Julia. May I have it please for my garden? Haha..
Is it mainly in shade? I must have had a formed pond from a friend 5 years and it's still looking at me! It's only small, it's digging the area for it which I keep putting off. Seeing yours though has inspired me to get on!

I think your renovation looks great, a mini hill on the far side, displays your plants to advantage.
