Eileen, your comment is so kind.....thank you very much...I am pleased for once! Some shrubs are doing a good job looking after themselves and I'm controlling my eagerness to trim!

.....and thanks so much,Shirley....how are you enjoying your new path? Are you going to plant either side or leave it clear?

Julia, there is lawn to both sides leading up to the summerhouse, then lawn one side and a flower border the other, as there was an old existing path there before this new one. Hope that makes sense! I did smile yesterday when our cat discovered the new Catmint plant was readily available for her to sniff and /or eat, she did sniff it and then rolled around contentedly on the path, so funny!

Love how you have laid out your garden. Do the pavers under the arch go down to a lower level? Inspired.

Yes,siris...there are 3 steps which lead down to the rose bed and lower grass. When we moved there 21 years ago it was all grass,no beds.

As said before, very much worthy of a Homes and Gardens magazine spread, Julia!
Immaculate and very ornamental...

So kind,Kate...if you saw it today after the gale last night, you wouldn't think it was the same garden...tulips flattened, obelisks pushed over etc.
