The only Delospermum remaining alive in the Scree garden, despite being covered against winter wet.

My purple one too was lost over the winter.

I have a purple Cooperi, which has never been outside yet. I've just prepared a spot in the Scree garden with very well drained soil. I'm just waiting for some better weather, before risking it.

I think I'm in the wrong grow zone for this plant. I think it's sold here as a summer annual. Our summers are hot & dry. That's what this plant likes. The rest of the year is too wet. & cold.

Our weather in the South of the Uk, is really too wet for these S African plants, but the Scree garden has a large Perspex lid that sits over the bed in winter.
