She's been a permanent resident in my garden for at least 3 years. She owns my junipers and won't let any other bird near them. She's born many chicks and she's got many many beautiful songs to sing all day and all night. She can hit those high notes - all day and all night !

Thank you all. We enjoy having them around. They make nice music & eat lots of bugs.

How big are they, Paul? I've only ever heard of them in the song! Musical accompaniment to gardening. What could be better?

Beautiful birds, and is't it lovely to hear all the birds singing. They obviously feel safe with you.

Thank you all. Yes they make beautiful music, but at 2am right outside my bedroom window in mid summer? They sing gleefully.
Anget - They are a medium size slender grey bird with distinct white markings. Larger than a sparrow yet smaller than a dove. They recognize people, who they like and who they don't.
