Rio - Dipladenia

A close cousin of Mandavilla. The only difference is Mandavilla is a twining plant, Dipladenia is more shrubby. A tropical plant from South America.

They are basically the same plant Eileen. This one may send out a tendril now and then but can stand on its own. The Mandavilla needs support.
Thanks Kate. I also have a hot pink one that isn't in bloom yet. The tropical colors bring a new feel. I can definitely recommend this one.

Hot pink too! Sounds lovely...really hot exotic and summery. It has a nice tidy leaf too.

lovely colour,
I wonder if mine has been mis labelled. I have a twining conservatory plant that was labelled Dipladenia. or I wonder if they are synonyms?
