Yes they do and they seed too. I have lots popping up in my own compost where one year OH cut the pods off and composted them.

These have been wonderful this year along the waters edge by the river and at the reservoirs.

The one ive just posted is in a border, my variegated leaved ones are in a bucket sunk into the pond to contain its' rhizomes.
